These are the terms on which we supply stair nosings, floor profiles and related products through this website. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
This website is operated as The Nosing Co, a trading name of [registered business/legal name to confirm]. Where these terms refer to “we”, “us” or “our”, they mean The Nosing Co.

These terms apply to every order placed through this website. By placing an order you confirm that you accept them. Please read them each time you order, as they may change.
Our profiles are made to order and cut to length, and many are finished or colour-matched specifically for you. Because of this, small variations in grain, tone and finish are normal.
Colours shown on screen are indicative only and can vary between screens. We strongly recommend requesting a physical sample before ordering if colour is critical.
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm that we accept your order and begin production. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item cannot be supplied or a price was listed incorrectly — and if you have already paid we will refund you in full.
You are responsible for the sizes, lengths, quantities and colours you select. Please check your order carefully, as made-to-order items are produced to the specification you provide.
All prices are in pounds sterling (£). [The Nosing Co is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged — confirm this is still correct].
Delivery is charged at a flat £45 per order (see section 6). The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
Payment is taken securely at checkout through our cart provider (Snipcart) and its payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
We deliver to mainland UK at a flat rate of £45 per order. [Delivery areas, any exclusions (e.g. Highlands & Islands) and typical lead times to confirm].
As items are made to order, please allow for a production lead time before dispatch. We will keep you informed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Because most items are made to order, cut to length or colour-matched specifically for you, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This means they cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
If you contact us quickly after ordering — before we begin making your item — we may be able to amend or cancel it. Full details are in our Returns & refunds policy.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as ordered, please contact us at [orders@thenosingco.co.uk — email to confirm] with your order number and photos within [e.g. 48 hours for transit damage / 30 days for faults — confirm], and we will put it right. See our Returns & refunds policy.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for the fitting or installation of our profiles, which should be carried out by a competent fitter.
All content on this website — text, images, drawings and design — belongs to us or our suppliers and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
